Qualifications in Advice

Background

There is currently a major project underway to develop, for the first time, a national qualifications framework to support the delivery of social welfare advice, including money advice. This framework will be based on a universally-recognised set of National Occupational Standards.

The purpose of the survey is to:

Collecting the information

This information is being collected by the Institute of Money Advisers working with the Money Advice Quality Model Working Group. The group is made up of representatives from agencies across the sector including: Advice UK, Consumer Credit Counselling Service, Citizens Advice, Insolvency Practitioners Association, Institute of Money Advisers, a Local Authority, Legal Services Commission and Money Advice Trust. The group is working together to develop a quality assurance scheme for money advice providers across the Not-for-Profit, public and commercial sectors.
